Your agent gets the whole editor

NewScene's MCP connector gives your AI agent the same scenes, layers, effects, and saves you use in the editor. It finds what it needs in the library and builds the full composition.

  1. Chooses your colors with you

Your assistant shows color palettes from the NewScene library right in the chat. Pick one, ask for different colors, or paste your own.

    • list_color_palettes
  2. Builds every scene

Text, shapes, images, video, captions, counters, reviews, and lower thirds, placed on real layout grids and timed scene by scene.

    • create_text
    • create_media
    • set_shape_grid
  3. Adds transitions between scenes

Crossfades, radial zooms, wave sweeps, glitch slices, color melts, hex irises, and more, set on the cuts between scenes.

    • apply_edits
  4. Places a hero layer above it all

A hero layer sits above every scene and transition, so a shape can carry across cuts for a more dynamic composition.

    • set_hero_layers
  5. Finds every effect and graphic

It searches hundreds of enter, exit, and Animate effects, plus shapes, icons, emoji, stickers, and text recipes in the library.

  6. Checks its own work

It renders preview frames and contact sheets, looks for layout problems, and fixes what it sees before it finishes.

  7. Saves to your account

Every edit lands in your project. It saves, hands control back, and you can keep editing in NewScene.

Give your agent reusable NewScene know-how. Connect the editor through MCP, then install a skill in your AI app to guide how it builds.

  • NewScene Motion formulas

    ZIP · 6.2 KB

Give your agent recipes for procedural motion graphics: staggered grids, traveling waves, shape morphs, nested tunnels, and lens exits. Build with native NewScene layers and keyframes.

Includes timing and editor rules, with experimental golden-ratio and fractal recipes labeled separately.

    Download skillRead SKILL.md

Install for Claude

Upload the ZIP as a custom skill in Claude on the web or desktop.

  1. 1

    Download the skill ZIP

Use Download skill above. Keep the ZIP intact for Claude; there is no need to extract it.

  2. 2

    Upload and enable the skill

Open Customize → Skills in Claude. Choose +, Create skill, then Upload a skill. Select newscene-motion-formulas.zip and enable it. Skills require Code execution and file creation in Settings → Capabilities; your organization may also need to allow custom skills.

  3. 3

    Use it with NewScene

Connect NewScene using the setup guide above. With the connector enabled and a NewScene editor tab open, ask Claude to use the newscene-motion-formulas skill and describe the motion you want.

Official Claude skill documentation

Install for Codex

Extract the skill folder into your personal Codex skills directory.

  1. 1

    Download and extract

Download the ZIP and extract it. Keep the newscene-motion-formulas folder, including SKILL.md, agents, and assets, together.

  2. 2

Place the folder in your skills directory

Create .agents/skills in your home folder if needed, then copy newscene-motion-formulas into it. The final file path should be the one below. On Windows, ~ means your user folder, such as C:\Users\your-name. For one repository only, use .agents/skills inside that repository instead.

    ~/.agents/skills/newscene-motion-formulas/SKILL.md
  3. 3

    Select the skill and connect

Codex detects newly installed skills automatically; restart it if the skill does not appear. Select newscene-motion-formulas in /skills or mention it with $. Connect NewScene using the setup guide above and keep an editor tab open.

Install for Other agents

Use a client that supports custom Agent Skills or reusable instructions.

  1. 1

    Check your agent’s skill support

MCP provides the editor tools; the skill provides motion guidance. Supporting MCP does not automatically mean an app can install skill ZIPs. Check your AI app’s custom skill or instruction options.

  2. 2

    Install or load the instructions

Download and extract the ZIP. Follow your client’s instructions to install the newscene-motion-formulas folder. If it only supports custom instructions or reference files, provide SKILL.md and ask the agent to read it before authoring motion.

  3. 3

Connect NewScene and try a recipe

Add the NewScene MCP connector using the URL above, sign in, and keep an editor tab open. Ask the agent to use the motion formulas and preview its work before saving.

Try this after installing
Use the newscene-motion-formulas skill to make a 10-second motion study in NewScene: a staggered grid, a traveling wave, then a nested tunnel. Use native layers and keyframes, preview the result, and save the project.

Questions about the NewScene connector

Yes. Download the NewScene Motion formulas skill from the Skills section on this page. It includes procedural motion recipes for grids, stagger, waves, morphs, and portals, plus separately labeled experiments. Install it in your AI app and connect the NewScene MCP server to use it in the editor. MCP connection alone does not install skills; your AI app must support custom skills or instructions.

It is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets your own AI agent, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or Claude Code, create and edit NewScene videos. The agent can pick colors with you, build scenes, add transitions, effects, and a hero layer, preview the result, and save the project to your account.

Yes. Connecting an AI agent to NewScene is free on every plan, including the Free plan.

Claude (web and desktop) and ChatGPT connect as custom connectors. Codex and Claude Code connect from the terminal. Any MCP client that supports remote HTTP servers with OAuth sign-in can use the same connector URL.

Use https://newscene.ai/api/agent-editor/mcp. Paste it into your AI app's custom connector settings, then sign in to NewScene when asked.

It can list your projects, create new ones, import images and video, choose color palettes, add text, shapes, media, captions, counters, reviews, and lower thirds, apply effects and scene transitions, place hero layers above scenes, render preview frames, and save. Hundreds of effects and the full graphics library are searchable by the agent.

Yes. Keep a NewScene editor tab open in your browser. Your agent's edits run in that editor, so you can watch the video come together and keep editing after the agent finishes.

When you connect, NewScene asks to read your projects, uploads, and editor previews, and to create, edit, and save projects you own. Sign-in uses OAuth. Your password is never shared with the AI app.

The agent edits the same live project you see. While it has control, the editor shows that it is working. When it finishes it saves and releases control, and your project stays open for you to keep editing.

Bring your agent. NewScene does the rest.

Free on every plan. Paste the URL into your AI app and sign in.
