1. Necessary storage

NewScene uses cookies and browser storage for authentication, security, service functionality, and remembering the choices you make. These purposes do not depend on optional analytics consent.

• Sign-in: Auth.js session and security cookies, including secure-prefixed variants, and the vcap_token credential connect your browser to your account. The configured session lifetime is up to 30 days. Short-lived OAuth security cookies expire sooner. Browser-stored authentication and cached account information are cleared when you sign out.
• Privacy choices: the first-party newscene_privacy cookie remembers your analytics selection, sale/sharing opt-out, notice version, and selection time for up to 180 days. Signed-in selections may also be saved with your account.
• Working preferences: local storage can retain editor settings, drafts, and cached service information until you remove it or the application clears it. Avoid shared devices for private projects and sign out after use.
• Payments: payment pages use Stripe to securely collect payment information and help prevent fraud. Stripe processes necessary payment-related device and transaction information under its own applicable terms and privacy notice.

2. Optional analytics

When analytics is enabled for the Service, Google Analytics is loaded only after you allow optional analytics. It can process page and interaction events, browser/device information, and cookie identifiers. Reports may be aggregated, but that does not make all underlying data anonymous. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our integration.

Google Analytics uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. We configure their lifetime to 180 days; visits can refresh expiry while analytics remains enabled. Google receives analytics data when you allow this category.

3. Your choices

Use Privacy choices in the footer or your profile to accept, reject, or change optional analytics. Rejecting it does not prevent use of NewScene. Withdrawal stops future collection and clears accessible analytics cookies. Historical personal data can be addressed through the request methods in our Privacy Policy.

Global Privacy Control is recognized as a sale/sharing opt-out signal. A saved rejection on this browser is not silently replaced by an older account opt-in. Clearing cookies or using a different browser can remove your local choice; optional analytics defaults to off until a choice is made. We do not fingerprint you to recover deleted preferences.

You can also manage storage in your browser. Blocking necessary storage can prevent sign-in, payment, or other requested functions from working. Cookies are only one form of storage; these choices also govern the optional analytics script and its events.
